Just one more thing...

It seems to be a hassle to update my blog. I start, then decide to just finish this one little project - which leads to another week.

Bashed Victorianna:

Mostly finished the porch. I broke a lot of spindles while working on this. Just missing a couple.
Adding half scale spindles to the shopping list.

Received the holiday rug for the living room.

Picked up some Blue Buffalo dog food for mini Macy May.

Un-bashed Victorianna:

This is how she appeared when I bought her off craigslist a couple years back.
I would still love to get my paws on another.

After some exterior work:

I plan on keeping most of the (some what hideous) decorating as it is, but this railing and the visible steps had to go.

Once I pulled the railing off, I decided to tweak things a bit.
I removed some of the carpet to add a hearth

Using some extra stone I had (textured paper), the hearth was complete.
That is when I noticed the stairs had been glued upside down.

I was actually able to pull the stairs out without ruining any of the wall paper.
I am going to keep the alcove to store fire wood.
Another painting my husband did is on the mantle with some freshly printed brick for inside the fireplace.

Once I get some spindles, I will be able to finish this room.

I don't want to put a lot of money into this house, but it really needs a kitchen. We all know how expensive kitchens are, even in mini.

Years back, my friend gave me an old kitchen design kit that are perfect for half scale. I used some pieces in my Rosedale kit, but still have a lot left over.

To be different, or to go against doll-housery rules, I am going to put the kitchen in backwards.
(Insert gasp here)

I am undecided if I will hang the upper cabinets or not.
(middle cabinet is holding the top cabinets up)

I don't think it will be all that bad.
The kit only came with one sink base, which is in the Rosedale.
Somehow I will add a sink to one of the cabinets

Leon's Mansion:

In my many 'adventures' over the years, the railings for Leon's  home went MIA, or I threw them away. After a quick email to the shop owner, I had new railings within a week.

Another beautiful rug from GreenGypsies to make the dining room complete.

On to the Rosedale:

My plan is to continue to finish this house in various shades of gray.
Not 50 shades of gray - more like 43.

This is the kitchen that I used the other pieces from the kit.

The attic floor has been finished off.
This will be a sewing room.

The resident of this house just received her exercise bike that she most likely will never use.
It is a ACME magnet from ebay.

Polly Pocket shoes and coat.

Fan and accessories in the bedroom.
I suppose I could have the 50 Shades series  tucked somewhere in this room.

While cleaning up the med closet at work, I came across this container that held some medication samples.

How much did our medication prices go up so doctor's offices could get fancy sample containers?
Anyway -
This will somehow house my broken Bespaq tea cart with a tea set.

Crossing enemy territories (the dog), Lilo managed to make it to  my lap just like the old days.

  2. I've always wanted to do a black and white build, I'll be watching the Rosedale's progress with much interest.

The Victorianna reminds me of those horrible commercials where someone adopts a starving dog and saves its life.
