Leon vs Victorianna

Over the past couple of weeks I have been bouncing between half scales of Leon's Victorian Mansion and GL Vicotrianna. Both have been neglected and unfinished for a few years.

Leon first

Master bedroom before:

As it stands currently with crown molding, photos and some baseboards.
I need to order more baseboards!!

My friend told me that I seem to be getting sappy in my older age.
Whatever... 😉

The photo in the reading nook came from a magazine. I have had it for some time, but never really had a place for it. It is some what depressing, but we all have some low days.

I love the way the sun shines through the window.

The only attention the hall received was a deep clean.

Den/office

The image on the wall is another one that my husband painted.

I am attempting another turtle tank.
Just add water...

Girls room before the maid serve:

This rug is very similar to what my daughter had in her room when she was younger.
Purchased from My Mini World

My daughter was the consultant for what art would be appropriate for the walls.

A couple photos for the bathroom.
This is the only room that needs crown molding - conveniently cropped out of the image.

Leon's living room

The print on the wall is one that I bought my mom many years ago.

Leon's kitchen - by far my favorite mini room.

I didn't realize how badly we needed hand towels until I saw these little guys from Country Mini.

On to the Victorianna

This house turned into a Christmas theme all because of the tree. I bought it from
Happily Ever After a couple years ago, but did not have a place for it.
She (the tree) found her way into the Victorianna's living room, and hasn't left since.

I have been busy wrapping presents and finding Christmas decor.
I have a holiday rug for this room ordered.

While searching for Christmas wall art, I found this squirrel print.
I absolutely love this print and need to order it for our home.

Santa also hangs in my full scale room box.
This print my mom has in her real life living room.

Christmas cards in the kitchen.
Do people even send cards anymore?

Cooking with Santa.

Is he pouring wine in that bowl?

So far the bathroom is spared from Christmas.
The print on the wall is another my husband painted.

Hallway

New art for the master bedroom

Twin boys room - another favorite.

My teen consultant informed me that the purple is not cool, so this teen has some black bedding.
The dog image is of a Blue Heeler, what my daughter has.
You can't see the print, but it says
'My best friend never says a word to  me'

My daughter picked the posters.

I was reprimanded for putting Thor in a closet.
For shame.

I stated to trim out the house, but I kept bumping the delicate pieces.
Thankfully I have more to spare.
Once the baseboards and other trims are in, I can place the rest of the fancy trim.

The porch is even getting some attention.
I didn't care for the railings that came with the kit.
I have another Victorianna that I purchased built - she can keep her original pieces once her rehab starts.

The railing that comes with the Houseworks stairs is much finer than the regular Housworks porch railing.
I need to search for some nice railing soon.

Cats vs dog. The 16 year old scrawny black cat always wins.

Occasionally my cat will let the dog in the craft room to join us.

This is how my daughter spent her first day of her senior year.
My husband took her and a friend to an amusement park.

My people.
Love looking off our deck to see my kids visiting.

  1. Your houses seem to appreciate the tlc and cleaning.
Love that you use real life art in your houses. And really? Thor in the closet? ;-)
Love the last picture. Your people. So much love.

  2. It's really nice when we get back into decorating a long neglected dollhouse and experience the joy and wonder of playing with it all over again!

  3. Hello Audra,
Both are beautiful houses. They have a lot of great architectural detail. I love that kitchen.

  4. Hurray for rediscovered dollhouses, finishing long awaited projects, and for family campfires! Hopefully, the hubs being an artist himself, will understand becoming periodically obsessed with completing an inspired work!
