Chantilly Demolition

Last week a friend pointed out that I do a lot of remodeling on my houses. I thought of her when I busted out my half scale Chantilly from the closet. I stopped working on it a couple years ago. Much like the Victorianna, the third floor space is useless.

This is how the Chantilly looked before I started taking her apart yesterday:



Removed the roof to figure out how I can go without that third floor. My friend Keli altered her Chantilly. She planned her layout better than me. I am not much of a planner. Probably explains why I remodel so much!

Did a dry fit of the roof. Should be able to make this work without to much trouble.

Removed the wall to make sanding off all the glue easier.

Filled in the bottom part of the bay window.

Much better, don't you think?
